Webquests

Webquests over and done with. They were a lot of fun and I have already begun using them in my classes. However now I cannot access my own webquest. I have forgotten my password for questgarden and the URL that questgarden gave me does not work on my computer but does for Pam. But thanks to Kylie and Pam putting up with my very bad mood I now can see my webquest.
So please have a look and tell me what you think. Jo's webquest.
I look forward to seeing everyone's webquests.

onya Jo - now how's the website creation going or the learning curve with HP? Have you had a look at the tutorials?

Did you get the message about the 1-2pm session tomorrow?

Jo, I will comment on your website for you to hlep the process flow.

Purpose: The purpose could have been a little clearer for a layperson like me, but I am sure your content would be in line with the purpose. I assume you were focussing on Reading and Vocabulary activities. The website appeared to be appropriate for its targeted learner.

Accuracy: The spelling and grammar was accurate and the content centring around accidents and disasters is a novel way to introduce the topic.

Usefulness: Lots of useful information was provided by the website. The language activities centred around the globe and this would be interesting for the learner.

Navigation: The Website was not difficult to navigate. The information was easy to retrieve, though I thought that the loading speed could be a little slow.

Interactivity: I thought that perhaps, there could have been some more interactive exercises created, although, both the crosswords I completed were well done. I felt the methods for user input were effectively employed. I did not have any difficulty completing the three activities you included.

Multimedia: I thought that the Website used graphics and colour effectively. I didn't notice any sound, but that's probably for next time. Perhaps the front page may have been a little cluttered, though I thought the icons you used were fabulous.

Well done for your first attempt.

Hi Jo,
Yes, you did it! Amazing hey?
Like the website,
- moving things are a bit distracting but they made me laugh and lightened the mood for the subject content.
-Couldn't get links to work
-in the matching exercise little typo, a,b c, d, R
-very interesting content, relevant as tsunami's, draughts, etc. are current news.
-brought in a bit of Australian content...nice touch.
-easy to navigate around.
-like the images chosen, gave a good visual description and clues of topics to be discussed

Well done Jo, Good Luck, Pam
